The 14th China (Guangzhou) International High-end Drinking Water Industry Expo (IWE China) was held at China Import & Export Fair Complex · Guangzhou, on 4-6 June 2026. Co-located Event：The 11th Guangzhou International Water Tasting Competition 2026
created FineWaters in 2002 and is one of the original founders of the Fine Water Society in 2008. He helped create the premium category and tells the story that "water is not just water," that it has terroir like wine, can be matched with food, and curated by water sommeliers. In 2018 Michael and Martin Riese founded the Fine Water Academy to train water sommeliers worldwide.
Representative for the Greater China Region of the Water Sommelier Union; one of only two authorized instructors in Asia for the International Water Sommelier Certification Program from Doemens Academy. Over the years, she has trained more than a hundred certified water sommeliers. Co-author of the book “The Water Has a Story to Tell”;Contest Director of the TSA Contest Best Water Sommelier of Taiwan 2025 — Taiwan’s first official national water sommelier contest.

Hong Kong's First Water Sommelier and Founder of Fonsapor, earned his Water Sommelier certification from Germany's Doemens Academy in 2017. He is an author, his book was selected as one of the 11 recommended new books of 2024 by Cosmopolitan. He was also a Columnist of Hong Kong Economic Times. Ivan actively promotes water culture through lectures and discussions in related fields.
Oliver Lü is a certified water sommelier from Fine Water Academy and a professional with a deep appreciation for sensory analysis, research, and the art of fine water. He earned his Ph.D. in linguistics. provided him with a unique skill set that naturally aligns with the expertise required of a water sommelier.
